Dr. Harter is the first orthodontist in the Athens area to deploy this state-of-the-art computerized treatment planning and appliance customization system that will allow him to achieve even more precise results. Unlike conventional orthodontics, which uses a plaster model and 2-D imaging, SureSmile gives Dr. Harter a detailed 3-D computer model of your teeth, which helps him precisely plot individual tooth movement through the entire course of treatment. Using high-tech wires customized through a robotic process, Dr. Harter can move each tooth to the target position more directly and in less time than other methods.
i-CAT
With our Imaging Sciences i-CAT and Planmeca ProMax 3-D CT imaging equipment, Classic City Orthodontics uses high definition 3-D digital imaging for orthodontic diagnosis and planning. These powerful machines offer quick and easy image acquisition, thereby exposing you to less radiation when compared to traditional CT scans. These state-of-the-art devices provide a full range of diagnostic views, including complete scans of all oral and maxillofacial structures. This information gives Dr. Harter more thorough structural knowledge, which enables more accurate diagnosis and treatment planning with a more predictable outcome.
The i-CAT and Planmeca ProMax 3-D CT imaging equipment allow Dr. Harter to see dental issues in a whole new light and more accurately plan your treatment. A view of teeth, their roots, and supporting boney and soft tissue enables Dr. Harter to accurately and efficiently position teeth, creating a healthier bite. Our KODAK dental imaging software integrates with the i-CAT and Planmeca systems to ensure fast, efficient and accurate diagnosis. A simple click of the mouse displays all the images from your file. OrthoCAD
OrthoCAD indirect bonding is a high-tech bracket placement system designed to achieve superior orthodontic results in fewer appointments. Dr. Harter takes an impression of your teeth and then sends the cast to OrthoCAD. Using cutting-edge diagnostic and placement technology, Dr. Harter and OrthoCAD design indirect bonding trays for accurate and efficient positioning of braces.
3M Unitek Brackets
Classic City Orthodontics has tested nearly every bracket on the market during its 30-plus years in business. Dr. Harter, his team, and his patients agree that the proper brackets combined with high-tech orthodontic wires produce better, more reliable results in fewer visits. 3M Unitek brackets come in traditional metal or in ceramic for high translucency and superb aesthetics.

Our Kodak Orthotrac practice management system tracks appointments, billing, clinical information and patient communication. Our paperless chart system enables Dr. Harter and his team to access your entire treatment history and images on our computer system.
